November 3, 2017 – County Line Squares “Made in America” Square Dance, Monticello, Caller Larry Johansen. Four squares with dancers from Westonka Whirlers, South Metro Stars, Hot Foot Stompers, and County Line Squares were present. Also present were numerous veterans (see photo above), SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Secretary Gael Zachman, and SDM Membership Director Mary Kay Amberg.

November 1, 2017 – Beaux & Belles “Halloween” Square Dance, St Cloud, Caller Tom Allen. Three squares from County Line Squares and Beaux & Belles were present (see photo above).
October 29, 2017 – SDM Fall Festival Square Dance and Awards Ceremony, St Cloud, Callers Tom Allen, Andy Flint, Charley Huhtala, Roger McNeil, and Dick Severson, Cuers Sarah Klaphake, Bernadette McNeil, and Jane Simpson (appear in the photo above). Seven squares were present with dancers from Afternoon Squares, Beaux & Belles, Country Twirlers, County Line Squares, F&M Square Dancers Association, Friendly Squares, Hot Foot Stompers, Kato Plus, Koronis Nite Owls, L & M Squares, Rays Promenaders, Single Circles, South Metro Stars, Spares & Pairs, Valley Stars, Wadena Whirlaways, Westonka Whirlers, and Washington State. Also present were USDA Plains Region Vice Presidents Floyd and Judy Engelhardt, CSD Chair Vince Dahlheimer, and CSD Secretary Ken Scott.
Congratulations to Floyd and Judy Engelhardt who have danced twice in all fifty states and have ten done on the next 50 award! SDM also thanked them for bringing the USDA display to the fall festival in St. Cloud.

October 24, 2017 – L & M Squares Square Dance, Fargo, Callers Roger McNeil and Charley Huhtala, Cuer Bernadette McNeil. Gabi, from Germany, danced with L & M Squares making ND her 50th state she has square danced in “just for fun.” She is pictured above with the dance leaders and some of the new square dancers in Fargo. Merrill Braaten celebrated his 85th birthday on the 24th, which was his actual birthday. His wife Norene served a cake in his honor.

Also present were Spares & Pairs Queen Kathy and King Brad, CSD Secretary Ken Scott, SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Historian Al Martin, SDM Marketing Director Dee Scott, and SDM Membership Director Mary Kay Amberg.
