January 20, 2017 – Single Circles “Just Joking Around” Square Dance, Maple Grove, Caller Abe Maier, Cuer Jane Simpson.  Six squares with Single Circles Queen Carla, Hot Foot Stompers Queen Michelle, Come Square Dance Chair Vince Dahlheimer, SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann, and Federation Vice President Michelle Jensen present.  County Line Squares retrieved their banner (see picture above).

January 18, 2017 – Spares & Pairs “Winter Wonderland” Square Dance, Bloomington, Caller Larry Fruetel, Cuer Ray Belanger.  Eight squares representing nine organizations were present.  Also present were Dakota Grand Squares Queen Becky, Spares & Pairs Queen Evonne and King Clem, SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Treasurer Deb Hollimon, and SDM Historian Al Martin.  County Line Squares claimed a Spares & Pairs banner.  The banner wall is filling up (see picture above).  Bring a square or two and Come and Get’m!

January 9, 2017 – F-M Square Dancers Association “Graduation” Square Dance, Moorhead, Caller Roger McNeil.  Pictured above with instructor Roger McNeil, new dancers Sarah, Simone, and Mark graduated from mainstream lessons.  And yes, Simone had pajama day at school so she’s wearing her giraffe pj’s and a bathrobe.  Root beer floats were enjoyed after the graduation ceremony.

January 15, 2017 – Westonka Whirlers “Cat in the Hat” Square Dance, Mound, Caller Roger McNeil, Cuer Ray Belanger, Guest Cuer Bernadette McNeil.  Seven squares were present, with Dakota Grand Squares Queen Becky, Westonka Whirlers Queen Jenny and King Randy, Come Square Dance Chair Vince Dahlheimer, SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Secretary Mary Kay Amberg, and SDM Historian Al Martin.  Spares & Pairs (pictured above) and County Line Squares retrieved their banners.

January 11, 2017 – Beaux & Belles “Badges and Dangles” Square Dance, St Cloud, Caller Tom Allen, Cuer Sarah Klaphake.  Four squares with dancers from Beaux & Belles and County Line Squares (pictured above) were present.

January 8, 2017 – Kaleidoscope Squares ABC square dance, Rochester, Caller Monte Guenzler.  Seven new dancers (pictured above) and nine angels were present.  Fun had by all.  Everyone brought a food item for our local food shelf.

January 8, 2017 – Ar-Dale Dancers “Snowflake” Square Dance, White Bear Lake, Caller Larry Fruetel, Cuer Ken LaBau.  Ten squares with dancers from 12 organizations were present.  Also present were Cambridge Corners King Kevin, Ar-Dale Dancers Queen Beth and King Andy, Caller Denise Heinz, Come Square Dance Chair Vince Dahlheimer, and SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann.  Cambridge Corners, County Line Squares, Friendly Twirlers, and Hot Foot Stompers claimed Ar-Dale Dancers banners.

On January 3, we graduated six new dancers who did very well and are excited about their new dancing experience. Our potluck consisted of Sloppy Joe’s and other goodies.  Mike Hogan will be calling at our dance on February 12 and we will be taking pictures of all you sweethearts.  Come dance with us.
