February 19, 2017 – Westonka Whirlers “It’s Hawaiian Afternoon” Square Dance, Mound, Caller Tom Allen, Cuer Ray Belanger.  Six squares were dancing and Spares & Pairs (photo above) claimed a Westonka Whirlers banner.

Harbor Squares

February 19, 2017 – Harbor Squares Square Dance, Cloquet, Caller Brian Freed.  Hot Foot Stompers, Friendly Twirlers, and Harbor Squares dancing with six couples in a rectangle (photo above).

First City Squares

February 19, 2017 – First City Squares “Valentine’s Day” Square Dance, Bemidji, Caller Abe Maier.  Five squares with dancers from County Line Squares, Country Twirlers, Dakota Grand Squares, First City Squares, Friendly Squares, Pairs & Squares (Fort Francis, Ontario), and Wadena Whirlaways were present (see photo above).  County Line Squares claimed a First City Squares banner.

Jolly Promenaders

February 18, 2017 – Jolly Promenaders “Red, White, & Blue” Square Dance, Forest Lake, Caller Larry Fruetel.  Spares & Pairs (photo above) claimed a Jolly Promenaders banner.

Single Circles

February 17, 2017 – Single Circles “Valentine’s Day” Square Dance, Maple Grove, Caller Tom Allen, Cuer Ken LaBau.  Nine squares with dancers from Ar-Dale Dancers, County Line Squares, Dan’se P.A.C., Hot Foot Stompers, Single Circles (photo above), Spares & Pairs, and Westonka Whirlers were present.  Also present were Spares & Pairs Queen Evonne and King Clem, County Line  Squares Queen Helen and King Steve, Single Circles Queen Carla, CSD Chair Vince Dahlheimer, CSD Secretary Ken Scott, SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Treasurer Deb Hollimon, and SDM Marketing Director Dee Scott.

Ar-Dale Dancers retrieved their banner.

Hot Foot Stompers claimed a Single Circles banner.

Spares & Pairs already had a Single Circles banner.

February 15, 2017 – Spares & Pairs “Valentine” Square Dance, Bloomington, Caller Larry Fruetel, Cuer Robin Fryman.  Ten squares with dancers from eight organizations were present.  Ar-Dale Dancers (see photo above) and Dakota Grand Squares retrieved their banners.

Beaux & Belles

February 15, 2017 – Beaux & Belles “Valentine” Square Dance, St Cloud, Caller Tom Allen, Cuer Sarah Klaphake.  Four squares with dancers from Koronis Nite Owls and County Line Squares (photo above), and Beaux & Belles were present.  County Line Squares claimed a Beaux & Belles banner.

February 12, 2017 – Ar-Dale Dancers “Heart of My Heart” Square Dance, White Bear Lake, Caller Mike Hogan, Cuer Ken LaBau.  Nearly 18 squares with dancers from 18 organizations were present.  Also present were Square and Twirl Queen Patti, Dan’se P.A.C. Queen Janet, Cambridge Corners King Kevin, Friendly Twirlers Queen Lisa and King Trevar, Hot Foot Stompers Queen Michele, and Ar-Dale Dancers Queen Beth and King Andy.  Others attending were Federation President Janet Sahlstrom, Vice President Michele Jensen, Member Services Erica Friedman, Education Linda Biederman-Hink, At-Large Jerry and Patti Ellingson, Education Linda Biederman-Hink; Come Square Dance Chair Vince Dahlheimer and Secretary Ken Scott; SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann, Secretary Mary Kay Amberg, Treasurer Deb Hollimon, Marketing Director Dee Scott, and Historian Al Martin.  Dakota Grand Squares, Friendly Twirlers, Hot Foot Stompers, and Single Circles claimed Ar-Dale Dancers banners.  A special feature was taking pictures of everyone.  Gary Anderson was our photographer and Allen Gosselin printed the photos and everyone received their picture.  Herwig was a special guest from Germany.  Dean Dederman will be calling for our March dance.
