April 8, 2018  – Ar-Dale Dancers “Prom Promenade” Square Dance, White Bear Lake, Caller Roger McNeil, Cuer Ken LaBau.  Another April snow!  Really, enough already.  But inside was warm and dry and Roger McNeil called a lively dance to 10 ½ squares, representing 11 different organizations.  Celebrities in attendance were SDM Education Director Barry Downs, SDM Membership Director Mary Kay Amberg, Come Square Dance Chair Vince Dahleimer, and Assistant Editor of the Round Up Steve Huntsman.  Royalty in attendance included Marlene and Roger Sorenson Queen and King from Ar-Dale Dancers, Queen Lisa Caspersen from Friendly Twirlers, Queen Rosemary Valentine from Hotfoot Stompers and King Barry Downs from Spares and Pairs.  One of the highlights of our dance was seeing some of our former royalty parading around the crowd, and then crowning our own 2018-2019 King and Queen Rick Larson and Tami Jelinek.  Cake was served in honor of our King and Queen.  Hot Foot Stompers (see photo above) earned a large banner (but they already had one) and Dakota Grand Squares claimed an Ar-Dale Dancers banner.
