February 1, 2020 – Dakota Squares “Heart” Square Dance, Inver Grove Heights, Caller Abe Maier, Cuer Doug Brodeen. The silent auction earned $190 in donations for the American Heart Association. Dancers from Ar-Dale Dancers, County Line Squares, Dakota Squares, Friendly Squares, Hotfoot Stompers, Spares & Pairs, Square & Twirl, and Triple T Squares were present. Also present were County Line Squares Queen Carmen, Dakota Squares Queen Becky and King Jeff, Federation Member Services Erica Friedman, SDM Vice Chair LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Treasurer Gael Zachman, and SDM Historian Al Martin. County Line Squares (see photo above) and Spares & Pairs (see photo below) claimed Dakota Squares banners.
SDM Plus Blast
February 1, 2020 – SDM Plus Blast Square Dance, Mound, Caller/Instructor Tom Allen. Over 9 squares (see photo above) from 12 organizations participated in the first of two plus blasts.
County Line Squares
January 31, 2020 – County Line Squares “Crazy Hat” Square Dance, Monticello, Caller Abe Maier, Guest Caller Tom Allen, Cuer Jane Simpson. Dancers from Afternoon Squares, Beaux & Belles, Cambridge Corners, County Line Squares, Friendly Squares, Hotfoot Stompers, Jolly Twirlers, Koronis Nite Owls, Single Circles, Spares & Pairs, South Metro Stars, and Westonka Whirlers were present. Also present were County Line Squares Queen Carmen, SDM Chair Barry Downs, SDM Vice Chair LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Treasurer Gael Zachman, SDM Historian Al Martin, SDM Membership Director Mary Kay Amberg, the RoundUp Advertising Manager Connie Walker-Pearson, and the RoundUp Subscription Manager Paul Pearson. Beaux & Belles retrieved their banner (see photo above), and Koronis Nite Owls (with an assist from Jolly Twirlers) claimed a County Line Squares banner (see photo below).

SDM Winter Festival
January 26, 2020 – SDM Winter Festival Square Dance, St Cloud, Callers Tom Allen, Andy Flint, Monte Guenzler, Charley Huhtala, Larry Johansen, Rick Larson, Abe Maier, Roger McNeil, Dick Severson, and John Welton; Cuers Sarah Klaphake, Ken LaBau, and Bernadette McNeil. Dancers from Afternoon Squares, Ar-Dale Dancers, Beaux & Belles, Cambridge Corners, County Line Squares, ETTA Square & Rounds, Friendly Squares, Gospel Plus, Jolly Twirlers, Kaleidoscope Squares, Koronis Nite Owls, L & M Squares, Rays Promenaders, Rockin’ Country Dancers, Saturday Fun Nite, South Metro Stars, Spares & Pairs, Wadena Whirlaways, and Westonka Whirlers were present. Ten callers and three cuers kept the dance lively (see photo above). Awards were presented by SDM Chair Barry Downs (see photos below).
