July 13, 2019 – Maple Grove Days Demo Square Dance, Maple Grove, Caller Larry Fruetel. Some of the demo participants appear in the photo above. Dancers from Afternoon Squares, County Line Squares, Hot Foot Stompers, Single Circles, Spares & Pairs, and Westonka Whirlers were present.
July 11, 2019 – Afternoon Squares Square Dance, Hopkins, Caller Abe Maier. The Hopkins Police Department community outreach program brought a group of teenagers to dance a tip (see photo above). Visitors from California were also present.
July 10, 2019 – Spares & Pairs “Sports Night” Square Dance, Bloomington, Caller Vic Diller, Cuer Sarah Klaphake. Dancers from Ar-Dale Dancers, County Line Squares (see photo above), Crystal Cross Trailers, Dakota Grand Squares, Hot Foot Stompers, Kato Plus, Single Circles, Square & Twirl, Wandering Wheels and Westonka Whirlers joined the Spares & Pairs dancers to welcome Vic Diller back to calling. Present were Ar-Dale Dancers Queen Kathleen, County Line Squares Queen Carmen and King David, SDM Vice Chair Barry Downs, SDM Treasurer Gael Zachman, SDM Executive Director LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Historian Al Martin, and SDM Marketing Director Dee Scott.
July 4, 2019 – 4th of July Square Dance Demo, West Union, Caller Larry Johansen. Rockin’ Country Dancers with an assist from Koronis Night Owls participated. Larry Johansen provided the float.
“4th of July” Town Celebration Square Dance Demo, McGrath, Caller Abe Maier. Dancers from Single Circles, County Line Squares, and Cambridge Corners participated at the demo.
June 27-29, 2019 – National Square and Round Dance Convention, Atlanta, GA. Total attendance was 4,068 with dancers from most of the states, Puerto Rico, and around the world – Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, and Sweden. Minnesota was represented by 38 dancers (some are in the photo above, including a couple of former residents).
June 28, 2019 – Bluegrass Americana Music Festival “Square Dance for Beginners,” Rosemount, Caller Dick Rueter, The above photo is of one of the tips at the ABC dance Rosemount Central Park.

June 25, 2019 – South Metro Stars Introduction to Square Dancing, Burnsville, Caller Dick Rueter. The ABC dance brought in three squares of dancers.
June 24, 2019 – Westonka Whirlers Basic Workshop and Introduction to Square Dancing, Mound, Caller Dick Rueter. Over three squares enjoyed Dick’s ABC dance.
June 21, 2019 – Westonka Whirlers “Summer’s Here!” Square Dance, Mound, Caller Dick Rueter, Cuer Sarah Klaphake, Guest Caller Tom Allen. Dancers from Ar-Dale Dancers, County Line Squares (see photo above), Crystal Cross Trailers, Dakota Grand Squares, ETTA Square & Rounds, Gnat Boxers (Wooster, OH), Hot Foot Stompers, South Metro Stars, Spares & Pairs joined the Westonka Whirlers dancers. Ar-Dale Dancers Queen Kathleen, County Line Squares Queen Carmen and King David, Westonka Whirlers Queen Debbie and King Fred, SDM Treasurer Gael Zachman, SDM Executive Director LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Historian Al Martin, SDM Marketing Director Dee Scott, and SDM Membership Director Mary Kay Amberg were present.
