January 18, 2019 – Single Circles “Riding the Rails” Square Dance, Maple Grove, Caller Abe Maier, Cuer Jane Simpson. Dancers from Westonka Whirlers, Triple T, Spares & Pairs, Hot Foot Stompers, Crystal Cross Trailers, County Line Squares, and River City (Nebraska) joined the Single Circles dancers. Westonka Whirlers Queen Anita and King Bill, Spares & Pairs Queen Jennifer and King Barry, County Line Squares Queen Gael and King Doug, CSD Chair Vince Dahlheimer, SDM Vice Chair Barry Downs, SDM Treasurer Gael Zachman, SDM Executive Director, and SDM Historian Al Martin were present. Hot Foot Stompers (see photo above) and County Line Squares (see photo below) claimed large banners.

January 13, 2019 – Ar-Dale Dancers “Fifties” Square Dance, White Bear Lake, Caller Larry Fruetel, Cuer Ken LaBau. Dancers from Westonka Whirlers (already have an Ar-Dale Dancers banner – see photo above), Spares & Pairs, South Metro Stars, Single Circles, Hot Foot Stompers, Friendly Twirlers, Dan’se P.A.C., Dakota Grand Squares, County Line Squares, Cambridge Corners, and Ar-Dale Dancers were present. Also present were Friendly Twirlers Queen Michelle, Ar-Dale Dancers Queen Tami and King Rick, CSD Chair Vince Dahlheimer, CSD Treasurer Bernadette McNeil, SDM Executive Director LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Historian Al Martin, SDM Marketing Director Dee Scott, and SDM Membership Director Mary Kay Amberg.
South Metro Stars
January 8, 2019 – South Metro Stars “Intro to Square Dance,” Burnsville, Caller Monte Guenzler. Twenty-nine new dancers (see photo above) joined South Metro Stars to give square dancing a try. Six squares danced all evening. The next dance for beginners will be Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at 7 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Church gym.

January 8, 2019 – L & M Squares “10th Anniversary” Square Dance, Fargo, Caller Roger McNeil, Cuer Bernadette McNeil. Dancers from Valley Stars and County Line Squares helped L & M Squares celebrate their anniversary (see photo above).

Many “new dancers” were present, as were Ar-Dale Dancers Queen Tami and King Rick, County Line Squares Queen Gael and King Doug, Hot Foot Stompers Queen Coni, Spares & Pairs Queen Jennifer and King Barry, Westonka Whirlers Queen Anita and King Bill, SDM Vice Chair Barry Downs, SDM Treasurer Gael Zachman, SDM Executive Director LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Historian Al Martin, RoundUp Assistant Editor Steve Huntsman, RoundUp Advertising Manager Connie Walker-Pearson, and RoundUp Subscription Manager and Enhancin’ Dancin’ Editor Paul Pearson.
