April 21, 2018 – Westonka Whirlers “Spring Time” Square Dance, Mound, Caller Bob Asp, Cuer Ray Belanger.  Seven squares with dancers from Ar-Dale Dancers, County Line Squares, Crystal Cross Trailers, Dan’se P.A.C., Single Circles, Spares & Pairs, Wandering Wheels, and Westonka Whirlers were present.  Also present were County Line Squares Queen Gael and King Doug, Spares & Pairs Queen Jennifer and King Barry, Westonka Whirlers Queen Anita and King Bill, USDA Plains Region Vice Presidents Floyd and Judy Engelhardt, CSD Chair Vince Dahlheimer, Federation Education Committee Linda Biederman-Hink, SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Secretary Gael Zachman, SDM Education Director Barry Downs, SDM Historian Al Martin, and SDM Marketing Director Dee Scott.  County Line Squares claimed a Westonka Whirlers banner (some dancers were not available when the picture above was taken).

April 20, 2018 – Single Circles “Smell the Roses” Square Dance, Maple Grove, Caller Dick Severson, Cuer Sarah Klaphake.  Eight squares with dancers from Ar-Dale Dancers, County Line Squares, Crystal Cross Trailers, Dan’se P.A.C., Hot Foot Stompers, Single Circles, Spares & Pairs, and Westonka Whirlers (see photo above) were present.  Also present were Hot Foot Stompers Queen Rose, County Line Squares Queen Gael and King Doug, Single Circles King Mel, CSD Chair Vince Dahlheimer, SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Secretary Gael Zachman, SDM Marketing Director Dee Scott, and SDM Membership Director Mary Kay Amberg.  Hot Foot Stompers, County Line Squares and Westonka Whirlers claimed Single Circles banners.

April 18, 2018 – Beaux & Belles Square Dance, St Cloud, Caller Dick Severson.  Three squares with dancers from County Line Squares and Beaux and Belles danced (see photo above).

April 11, 2018 – Spares & Pairs Square Dance, Bloomington, Caller Larry Fruetel, Cuer Ray Belanger.  Six squares with dancers from Ar-Dale Dancers (see photo above), County Line Squares, Dakota Grand Squares, South Metro Stars, and Westonka Whirlers were present.  Also present were Ar-Dale Dancers Queen Tami and King Rick, County Line Squares Queen Gael and King Doug, Spares & Pairs Queen Jennifer and King Barry, SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Secretary Gael Zachman, SDM Treasurer Deb Hollimon, SDM Education Director Barry Downs, SDM Historian Al Martin, and SDM Marketing Director Dee Scott.

April 8, 2018  – Ar-Dale Dancers “Prom Promenade” Square Dance, White Bear Lake, Caller Roger McNeil, Cuer Ken LaBau.  Another April snow!  Really, enough already.  But inside was warm and dry and Roger McNeil called a lively dance to 10 ½ squares, representing 11 different organizations.  Celebrities in attendance were SDM Education Director Barry Downs, SDM Membership Director Mary Kay Amberg, Come Square Dance Chair Vince Dahleimer, and Assistant Editor of the Round Up Steve Huntsman.  Royalty in attendance included Marlene and Roger Sorenson Queen and King from Ar-Dale Dancers, Queen Lisa Caspersen from Friendly Twirlers, Queen Rosemary Valentine from Hotfoot Stompers and King Barry Downs from Spares and Pairs.  One of the highlights of our dance was seeing some of our former royalty parading around the crowd, and then crowning our own 2018-2019 King and Queen Rick Larson and Tami Jelinek.  Cake was served in honor of our King and Queen.  Hot Foot Stompers (see photo above) earned a large banner (but they already had one) and Dakota Grand Squares claimed an Ar-Dale Dancers banner.

April 8, 2018 – Paynesville Arts Council “Talent Showcase 2018,” Paynesville, Caller Andy Flint.  Two squares with dancers from Rockin’ Country Dancers, Koronis Nite Owls, Jolly Twirlers, and County Line Squares performed an exhibition dance.

April 4, 2018 – Spares & Pairs “King and Queens Night” Square Dance, Bloomington, Caller Larry Fruetel, Cuer Ray Belanger.  Spares & Pairs new Queen Jennfier and King Barry are pictured above.

April 7, 2018 – Longevity Expo ABC Square Dance, Maple Grove Community Center.  Dancers from Westonka Whirlers, South Metro Stars, Single Circles, Hot Foot Stompers, County Line Squares, and Amour Rounds participated throughout the day.  Many visitors stopped by and danced.

April 6, 2018 – County Line Squares “Bad Hair Night” Square Dance, Monticello, Caller Roger McNeil, Cuer Bernadette McNeil.  Ten squares with dancers (see photo above) from Ar-Dale Dancers, Circle 8 Plus, County Line Squares, Dan’se P.A.C., Hot Foot Stompers, Koronis Nite Owls, Single Circles, South Metro Stars, Spares & Pairs, Wadena Whiralways, and Wandering Wheels were dancing.  Present were Spares & Pairs Queen Jennifer and King Barry, County Line Squares Queen Susie and King Jim, newly crowed County Lein Squares Queen Gael and King Doug, Come Square Dance Chair Vince Dahlheimer, SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Vice Chair Linda Brotherton, SDM Secretary Gael Zachman, SDM Education Director Barry Downs, SDM Historian Al Martin, SDM Membership Director Mary Kay Amberg, Caller Andy Flint, Caller Mark Helfter, and Caller Abe Maier.  Koronis Nite Owls and Wadena Whirlaways claimed County Line Squares banners.
