January 14, 2018 – Eagles Cancer Telethon, Mayo Civic Center – Rochester, Caller Wayne Kubicek. Silver Treads (see photo above) brought two squares to donate funds and also dance three songs on the locally live-televised Eagles Cancer Telethon. The entire crew, staff, and audience expressed very complimentary comments and marveled at how much fun they were having. What a great experience and wonderful exposure. Eagles Cancer Telethon

January 13, 2018 – Koronis Nite Owls “Hawaiian Night” Square Dance, Paynesville, Caller Andy Flint. Two squares with dancers from Rockin’ Country Dancers, Koronis Nite Owls, Jolly Twirlers, and County Line Squares were present (see photo above). Also present were County Line Squares Queen Susie and King Jim, SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann, and SDM Secretary Gael Zachman.
January 10, 2018 – Spares & Pairs “RoundUp Subscription” Square Dance, Bloomington, Caller Larry Fruetel, Cuer Ray Belanger. Five squares with dancers from Westonka Whirlers, Sunday Squares, Spares & Pairs, Dakota Grand Squares, County Line Squares, and Ar-Dale Dancers were present. Also present were Ar-Dale Dancers Queen Marlene and King Roger, County Line Squares Queen Susie, Dakota Grand Squares Queen Eileen and King Darwin, Federation Vice President Brian Freed, SDM Chair LeRoy Elfmann, SDM Secretary Gael Zachman, SDM Treasurer Deb Hollimon, SDM Education Director Barry Downs, SDM Historian Al Martin, and SDM Marketing Director Dee Scott. County Line Squares retrieved their banner (see photo above).
December 31, 2017 – Friendly Squares “New Year’s Eve” Square Dance, Park Rapids, Caller Larry Johansen. Wadena Whirlaways was one of the visiting organizations (see photo above).

Seven squares with dancers from Westonka Whirlers, Wandering Wheels, Spares & Pairs, Single Circles, Koronis Nite Owls, Hot Foot Stompers, Dan’se P.A.C., and County Line Squares were present.
